My role whilst contracting for Motus Health and Performance, was a UX/UI and Visual Designer. Working directly with the marketing manager and key stakeholders, I was responsible for the design of Motus Health and Performance’s new website.
To kick off the project, I ran a series of workshops with key stakeholders to gain a full understanding of the business, the competitors market, and opportunities for growth within the market.

Our UX/UI Design Process
For this project, we followed user-centred design principles, and we went from concept through to the delivered website in 12 weeks.
Competitor Research
Understanding the market and the niche was possible through detailed competitor research.
Staff interviews
Staff interviews were a key to understanding the business offering and designing a way forward.
Design Strategy
Content strategy, Information architecture, writing micro-copy and a branding strategy.
Web development
Visual and UI design building out a mobile responsive website ready for digital marketing and the marketplace.
What did we discover?
The benefits of internal workshops
We ran a series of workshops and interviews to position Motus HP as the market leader with a stronger offering than any competitors in Sydney. The fact that Motus HP has a business partnership with Chocolate Box Training gave leverage to these benefits.
Market Opportunities
The staff Interviews gave us a rich data set of information on market opportunities.
Discovered a U.S.P
The Unique Selling Proposition was discovered through a workshop to separates Motus HP from the rest. .
Benefits-driven Copy
Simple sales vernacular was used in the body copy to emphasise the benefits of their service.
Customer Journey
We looked at the overall customer journey to improve the overall customer touch points and experience.
Branding with a human connection through photography
To draw a larger human connection from the site users to the awesome staff who are the backbone of the business, we used environmental and studio portraits throughout each page, to humanise the brand making the experience more memorable.

Environmental portraits tell the Brand Story
We also utilised Charlie Bucket & Co’s, content creators to get high-quality environmental portraits. These images contextualised the brand and gave their brand differentiation. We organised a photoshoot for each of the Motus Health and Performance services. The results are a highly visual website with strong photography to build the brand.

60% of users were booking on mobile devices
In order to capture the majority of the users, we built the website with a mobile-first approach. Essentially the primary call to action for the website is to book a physiotherapy session using their booking software so we made this CTA as a button in the main menu. The secondary call to action is to make a phone call to enquire about the services.
